Jindie Nails + Rainbows

I feel like I have been doing a lot of rainbow nails recently. Oh well, I never get tired of them. After doing this little bit of nail art, I thought of some more nail art involving more rainbows to do in the future! Stay tuned... Here is what I did yesterday:

I would have done rainbows on all my nails, but man that would have taken forever!

The base color is a newer polish, Jindie Polish- Betty's Fetti Milkshake. Such a cool mix! It is a creamy white base jam packed with matte micro glitters in every color of the rainbow, including neons and black!

The colors I used starting from the purple to red: China Glaze- Creative Fantasy (Cirque Du Soleil Collection Winter 2012), China Glaze- Sunday Funday (Avant Garden Collection Spring 2013), Orly- Green Apple, China Glaze- Happy Go Lucky, China Glaze- Papaya Punch (Island Escape Collection Summer 2011), and China Glaze- Adventure Red-y (On Safari Collection Fall 2012). I just used a small nail art brush and started with the purple and made my way up.

I topped my ring finger off with Seche Vite, and the rest of my fingers with two coats of Butter London's Hardwear top coat.

Simple Swatch: Pipe Dream Polish

It's been a whole week since I last did my nails -__-. I start school next Monday, which will give me like no free time to do my nails, especially since my days off of school, I work all day! I don't know how bloggers work full time and manage to get posts 5-6 days a week....Hopefully once school starts I will set out a schedule to do my nails!

Anyways, here is another gorgeous polish from Pipe Dream Polish:

Pipe Dream Polish- Hotter than a Fantasy

This polish is definitely a bright purple crelly base. It also dries matte. It is kind of like China Glaze- Creative Fantasy, but with lots of glitter! I used two coats here.

It mainly consists of large, medium, and small pink hexagonal glitters, and medium blue glitters. Such a fun mix!

You can get this polish on Pipe Dream Polishes Etsy for $8.25!

Rainbow Rainbow!

So, I just got the good news that my boyfriend and I were approved for an apartment, I got a raise at one of my jobs, I start Veterinary Technician school in a little over a week, and I am going to a wedding in San Diego (which I have never been). So, I figured why not do some fun rainbow nails since I am in such a good mood! Here it is:

There is a hair on my pinky...woops

The glitter is the one and only KB Shimmer- Oh Splat! Seriously flawless, like every other KB Shimmer I have tried, I want them all! I used two coats. I used a fairly normal coat for my first coat to see how the coverage was. It was a little sheer, so I applied the second coat kind of thick. I think it is a crelly white base? Jam packed with large and small hexagonal rainbow glitters!  A must have in every polish hoarders collection.

Then of course I did a rainbow water marble. Starting from the pink to the purple, the colors are: China Glaze- Dance Baby (Electropop Collection Spring 2012), OPI- On The Same Paige, OPI- Need Sunglasses?, OPI- Green-wich Village (Mod About Brights Collection Summer 2008), OPI- Fly (Nicki Minaj Collection Spring 2012), and OPI- Planks A Lot (Pirates of the Caribbean Collection Spring 2011).

I topped it off with Butter London Hardwear Top Caot. I really like it, although it did smear my water marble a little even after letting it dry for a really long time.

OPI San Francisco Collection Nail Art

The weather has been extra nice here lately, so I decided to have a date day in SF with my boyfriend. I knew once I got this color, I could only wear it if I was going to make a trip to the Golden Gate Bridge to take pictures to compare. Here it is:

If you couldn't guess by the intro, this color is OPI- First Date At The Golden Gate (OPI SF Collection Fall 2013). It was two easy coats. OPI always has the best cremes. I do wish it was the actual color of the Golden Gate though. That is the main reason I wanted to get some pictures of the two colors next to each other, so I could see how different they really are!

Then I added french tips using OPI- In The Cable Car-Pool Lane (OPI SF Collection Fall 2013). A very nice berry shade that is unique to my collection. I should have put Haven't The Foggiest on my tips because that is exactly how the weather was when we were there:

As you can see, the bridge is really orange, "International Orange" to be exact. The polish is more of a ketchup shade. Oh well, either way it is a nice polish!

Flaky-gasm

I really love the textured trend, but I still don't understand why the flaky trend didn't stick around for very long! Here is one of my prized possessions in polish, mainly because these were really hard to find, but I got lucky and the girl at Sally's let me get some before they released! Probably the only time I have gotten good customer service at that place. Here it is:

These are all taken in the shade since the sunlight pretty much washes the flakies out.

I started out with two coats of Orly- Fowl Play (Birds of a Feather Collection Fall 2011). It is a really dark purple base, with a lot of tiny flakies in it, and primarily red to blue flakies. It is so amazing! It was limited edition, but made permanent! I don't know if it is still permanent since they changed their packaging. It is a must have.

Then I topped it off with Finger Paints- Twisted (Special Effects Collection Spring 2011). This was the one that had all colors of the rainbow in it! It is seriously perfection in a bottle.

Here are some more pictures:

If you have flaky polishes, don't forget to add a matte top coat! It always looks amazing, pretty much the only way I ever wear matte top coats. Although I didn't wear one on these...Enjoy!

Pixiedust Half Moons

If i had to choose to do only one nail art technique for the rest of my life, it would be half moons! I especially love them with textured polishes. Here is what I came up with:

I started off with two coats of OPI- Don't Pretzel My Buttons (Germany Collection Fall 2012). Then after applying a fast drying top coat, I used my binder paper reinforcement stickers to make the half moon shape as always.

I used one thick coat of Zoya- London (Pixiedust collection Fall 2013). I don't know what happened on the edge of my nail....I also had some shrinking on my tips! Not my best half moons....

Simple Swatch: Emily de Molly

First off, sorry for not posting in a whole week! I did my nails twice since then, but the first swatch's pictures turned out just awful, and the second was a jelly sandwich that just turned out awful! So, today I went with a safe route by trying an amazing Emily de Molly polish, and a water marble! Here it is:

Emily de Molly- Monet's Garden

I really need to get better lighting in my room because it looked like the purple glitters were more of a red... therefore I chose a red for the water marble. The red is OPI- Lost on Lomard (SF Collection Fall 2013), the dark green is OPI- Jade is the New Black, and the lighter green is Essie- The More the Merrier (Naughty Nauticals Collection Summer 2013).

Monet's Garden was two easy coats! It's so amazing! It has sooo many different types of glitter all in a teal jelly base. Here is a macro bottle shot:

You can get these polishes on Emily de Molly's Bigcartel, and for you US ladies, Llarowe will be restocking her old newest polishes very soon! I can not wait!
